Fissures in wall of support

Published: Jan. 13, 2021 at 9:45 p.m. ET

... “Republican leaders do not know how to move forward,” Republican pollster Frank Luntz said. “Everybody’s afraid that Donald Trump will tell people to come after them, but they also realize they’re losing the center of America. They’re trapped.”

It's Frank Luntz, WGAF what he say any more? He's done enough damage already.

Designed to gain absolute power, baited with lies, and set on the path to destruction of our Representational Democracy.

I am not interested in letting releasing them until they repent of their sinful ways. The Republican House members let it be known that they are still on the path of insurrection. Fuck 'em.

They have participated in the deployment of hundreds of thousands of their fellow citizens into war zones where each and every one of them know full well that armed people will "come after them" with every intention to kill. And yet our military follows orders from politicians to potentially sacrifice their lives.

No one is drafted into elected office, they pursued those positions voluntarily. Are they so afraid of losing those positions now that they are willing to lose our country instead? Are they perfectly willing to send troops into harms way to defend our nation but will themselves betray that country rather than face the risk of any personal harm themselves?

Good.

Trump's support is near it's floor, 33%. But that 33% is the majority of the republic Party, so you can't win any nomination without their support, but you can't win any general election with 33% either. It's going to be quite a tap dance going forward for the GOP to hold this 33% at the same time as appealing to the moderates.

Dems need to see this as an opportunity, figure out a way to get those moderates to vote with you consistently. Tie Trump to the Republican party like an anchor, this is the time to bury them, the chance is there, take it.

down and rebuilt or it has to split, leaving the trumpist and Q
nuts to self destruct. People like Romney and Cheney should spearhead the rebuilding process of the new party. The danger going forward is too great for this not to happen. This scenario has been said by a few knowledgeable political observers.

Those left over can pick up the pieces and re-organize. Yes, the GOP will splinter, reconstitute, and emerge after several years. But for now, they'll lose their support among the moderate voters. Trump's approval rating is now about 34% and it's still dropping. His GOP is disintegrating right now.

#1 They might try telling the truth...this was a free and fair election. Speak the truth.
#2 Tell the DOJ what they know...turn in their fellow party members who aided in the insurrection.
#3 If they’re that afraid of the Army of Rubes that they helped create, they’re entitled to use congressional funds for their own security and safety.
#4 Tell their fellow party members to do the same.
#5 Reach across the aisle and apologize for their behavior. Lay the groundwork for forgiveness and team building.
#6 Vow to fight misinformation and lies.

(I know repukes aren’t capable of any of this but if they really don’t know how to move forward...they’re beyond hope)
