Here is something to go along with inspiration for our political renewal as Democrats:

"So this year during Tu bishevat in addition to a seder, or shabbat reading, lets dig a little deeper and find some inspiration among the trees. Take some time to explore outside and find a tree that inspires you, plant an indoor seed to nurture for warmer times, or sit inside and draw a picture of a tree you see outside of your window. For within the thick bark, is a force trickling its way throughout the tree waiting to get out and be present in the world."

From my stepdaughter, a rabbi, latest sermon to her congregation.

I think it is more apt this year than ever.

And she is a very dear person.

After reading rants by demented, racist, hateful people it is just plain NICE to read her sermons. I am also inspired by sermons of Dr. King and singing of spirituals. They blunt and deflect the attacks we endure daily at the hands of Trump and his followers of hate speech.

I am not a believer in any religion, born a WASP, a "never believer" but my stepdaughter's humanity and grace are just plain inspiring.

I sketch and paint usually, but not so much these last couple of years. I have felt rather anxious and out of sorts with the daily bombardment of Trump and his GOP stripping away all that's good in America and our relationship to the rest of the world.
It is time to sketch a tree.

I'd love to see, and send to her, a pic of the tree you sketch. She would so love and appreciate that.

I think her words are so welcome at a time when we are all so exhausted by the inhumanity of trump and his legions. I just want them to rot in their own evil...

I welcome wisdom from all Faiths.
(ex-Catholic, Spiritual person)

When I was in my 20s I knew of a sister to a brother of observant Jews who wanted to be a rabbi but wasn't allowed.

I love 🥰 trees! 💖🌳💖
