Does he have one more scheme up his sleeve?
Do you get the feeling that this drama is not yet over?
Will he try to make a deal?
Or will he try to get "his people" to destroy something else before he departs the premises?
It's too bad that they can't arrest a President...

(442 posts)I think there will be a last minute resignation and pardon by Pence.

I know you know this. I just wanted to be a smarty-pants!

(15,377 posts)The Jan 6 assault failed to stop the certification of the election, but that was a long shot anyway.
The plan, and I am just guessing, it to create widespread chaos and open rebellion against the 'libtard' regime in washington.
There are more than a few state legislatures who will likely join in.

(26,507 posts)'martial law'.
Even though Trump has made some statements that he doesn't want violence - his lies up until now - are out there and he can't stop the violence that may come from those lies. I said in another post here that it's like a snowball rolling down hill.
The violence can't be stopped - but in Trump's mind - his saying that he doesn't want violence and telling people to basically 'stand down' - is his excuse when violence does ring out - that he has absolved himself of any responsibility for it.
If any violence occurs in these last days before Jan 20th - Trump can declare 'martial law' and say he needs to maintain his presidency.
That to me is his last desperate attempt to stay in power.
Unfortunately for Trump - the Jan 6th insurgency has sensitized us all to take the proper precautions to prevent any kind of additional attacks to happen. Witness the 20,000 armed national guard troops in D.C. and others around the country protecting State Capitols.
