Fate has been throwing you some nasty shit lately. Please remember: you can come here any time day or night and you will find friends. We're not just pixels on a screen - there's a feeling and caring human being behind each post.

I believe that this is one of the most beautiful and heartfelt responses that I have ever read here on DU.

(14,014 posts)I lost my older brother in September, not directly to covid, but it was a contributing factor. And of course, due to the pandemic restrictions, we were not allowed travel to North Carolina to be with him or his family afterwards.
Covid sucks.
Trump sucks.
Republicans suck.
This whole past year has sucked.
I'll stop there.
Again, sorry to hear your sad news.

Alive there was always the chance of things improving. Now. It is what it was.
Although, after my Mom died I still worked through stuff, understood more and forgave. So it isn't impossible to repair from one's own side of the fence.
PEACE.
