The so-called QAnon Shaman who stormed the U.S. Capitol last week in Viking garb before sitting in Vice President Mike Pences chair on the Senate dais admitted to federal agents he intended to return to D.C. to protest President-elect Bidens inauguration.
Ill still go, you better believe it, Jacob Chansley bragged in an interview with FBI agents the day after the violent insurrection. For sure Id want to be there, as a protestor, as a protestor, fuckin a.
The admission by Chansley, also known as Jake Angeli, is one of several prosecutors detailed in an 18-page detention memo arguing for the 33-year-old Arizona man to be held before trial.
***
Prosecutors said Chansley should be detained because the self-proclaimed leader of QAnon has previous felonies, doesnt have a stable job, and lied to authorities about his drug use, telling them he only smoked weed three times weekly in the past but bragging on a podcast about taking mushrooms and peyote regularly.

Surprised he didn't demand fresh organic peyote with his jail meals.

(17,785 posts)suspending Pence from it, I wouldn't see it as unreasonable to consider that it might have been written as an implied threat. Understanding the context more fully might help clarify intent.

(26,257 posts)Mom and Dad's basement still, when still in their 30s (and some even older). No job, on drugs, prior convictions.
What more can I say? Why does this person think that he has the unilateral right to determine what is right vs. wrong over the rest of us, who do in fact, work, don't do drugs, and no convictions?
Maybe I am wrong in thinking this, but I got a sick feeling that most of these thugs that overran the Capitol in Wash. DC do not work, do drugs, have convictions, etc. Were they hired out?
Because I was wondering how these people all got off on a Wednesday, had the money to drive or fly, stay at a hotel/pay for meals/etc.? And they are protesting what? Pls. tell me what they are complaining about. I didn't catch it...

(51,269 posts)The QAnon movement is very diverse with the common theme of distrust/paranoia. Some have plenty of money and good jobs. Some are broke with nothing better to do. Pretty much all probably have some level of mental illness. Several RW groups have organized travel to DC for this event, with local state capitol events for the ones who can't afford to travel.

There are no Trump worshipers among the membership of the Native American Church.

(220 posts)It is becoming hard to find words that describe the madness of some people. I wonder if tRump told Shaman Man to hold a bowling ball 5 feet over his big toe and drop it while saying don't worry I can make it float what he would believe after his toe is smashed. Fake Gravity, Newton is part of the radical left, My toe isn't broke, You tricked me that bowling ball wasn't organic etc. etc.
