Is there anyone here who will not vote in this election?

Is there anything that would convince you not to vote? Do you know anyone who will not vote or who could be convinced to not vote?

My eldest is in college and I'll be driving down to get her and bring her back to vote. They I'll have to drive her back to college. The middle one just hasn't hit that stage yet. I think it's best not to push her and let her come around on her own. Our house is all Obama/Dem and my mother's house is all FOX and Rush. She's getting mixed messages and needs time to sort things out. Hell, I campaigned for John Anderson before I was old enough to vote! I was scared shitless of Reagan but didn't appreciate Carter at the time. Now I think Carter was one of the best we've ever had - and his downfall was his honesty.

I have voted in every election since I was old enough. My father might not vote. He is a republican but he is a moderate republican from a blue state but he is also rich. He might vote for Obama or a third party candidate. I know a few people who won't vote for Romney because he is a Mormon and they are evangelical christians. They won't vote for Obama because they believe all the lies from the tea baggers about him. They will either not vote or vote for a third party candidate.

They belong to my socialist meetup group, and don't recognize any difference between the candidates. They have some strong arguments that Obama represents corporate interests above citizens. They think the best he can do is delay the revolution.

And Obama does have some corporatist policies. However, to deny the differences between the candidates with regards to suitability for office is just dishonest. It is true that the left does not have a good option to vote for, but it is also true that they do have a good option to vote against. At any rate, their decision is not your fault.

Those SCOTUS appointments are extremely important to keep in mind. Thanks.

there are many anarchists who don't vote as a matter of principle, as they don't want to give state hierarchy any legitimacy, because they consider freedom from state hierarchy very important (for which many of them have been ready to die for). Some other anarchists can and do vote, believing that they it does not mean selling their soul to the system and doesn't do any more harm and perhaps even some good.
