It is ridiculous.
This is not a fiefdom.
Its a thiefdom
No one is above the law seems to be an ideal not a reality if this travesty happens.
It simply cannot be allowed to happen.

(1,526 posts)I am still reeling a bit from the implications with this Bastard in office for the next few days.
Basically the pardon power is as absolute as any monarch or emperor ever had. There are NO real limits on this.
The president has ABSOLUTE power to indemnify anyone or everyone from any and all US laws and prosecutions for any actions past, present, or future.
And when you have a Madman like Trump with this kind of extreme power, OMG.
He could literally pardon everyone for everything on 1/6. He could pardon every person in the entire federal prison system.
And this could take ANY recorded for. He could look into his cell phone camera video app, and record his pronouncement, and It is legally done.
Fuck everyone who ever had anything to do with putting this Psycho in office!

(14,302 posts)I don't think he can pardon his co-conspirators. The Constitution says the power to pardon is broad except in cases of impeachment.
