I was so angry and distraught last nite after hearing that the pardons

DO NOT have to be made public. The information that OrangeAnus can just write it on a piece of paper and stick it in his pocket, to be used at will, is infuriating. I love the Constitution, but dayum. This is the closest to ABSOLUTE POWER that we will have ever experienced in America so far in it's history. imo

This is so frustrating.

1. We need to enact legislation formalizing some procedures, even while pardons can not be blocked.

Still, it would be hard to imagine a court honoring a pardon with no evidence cementing its existence--paper trail or otherwise. And a "secret" pardon may well pose serious difficulties in validating they were ever issued/received.

Couldn’t restrict the pardon authority without an amendment.
I hope they get the process started quickly.

8. Not necessarily. To restrict pardons, yes. To enact procedures, not necessarily.

See this discussion. I know Tribe has talked about it previously, too, but I can't find where I bookmarked it right now.

3. Is there evidence this actually happened or is this speculation on Trump?

The guy is so wild, something like this seems like he'd do it. But there's also an industry of wild speculation around Trump that never comes true.

According to his guest, the Constitution is extremely ambiguous about this matter. OrangeAnus could just verbally pardon someone. Sounds very illegal, but that is what I heard last nite.

This can be abused by morally bankrupt presidents just as trump plainly demonstrates. To stop this abuse of power
Remove pardon power.

Governors can issue pardons already, I think.

They can't go undocumented, and they can't be written on just anything.

ETA: and Rump can't pardon anybody after noon tomorrow.
