If I told you in 2017 that Trumps last day would conclude in disgrace

with the army in the streets after he led a violent revolt against congress, a small send-off because he refuses to attend his successors inauguration, 400,000 dead from a pandemic he ignored, and that he pardoned torturers and career criminals that funneled money to him, would you have believed me?

End up in prison within 4 years whether he won this election or not.
So far I’m batting 2000 on two impeachment’s and prison is on deck.

I figured it was going to be bad. I just didn't know in what ways. Like others here, I figured we'd wind up in a war of some sort.

fae is STILL pissed at me that i didnt get my irish citizenship so fae could get out of here.

I know people that have done this. It is easier to do while you're alive. They can pass it on to their kids. Their kids can go to college in Europe for free or low cost. That's a big one. Someone I know registered their kid in Belgium. (Father is Belgian). The kid got to go to school in Scotland(?) as a citizen.

when i first looked into it, it was the bush years, and i thought it would be good to get my draft age sons out of the country. it's a lot easier now.
planning a trip over there. was hoping for this winter, but...
meanwhile, learning the drinking songs and tracing my tree. turns put one of ireland's great heroes, michael dwyer, is my gggreat uncle.
also finding cousins over there. found a cousin and boy are we peas in a pod.
found another in my gramps hometown. plan to stay there. kinnitty. there is a very old, haunted castle there. a b&b now.

that in the end he'd leave quietly, beaten and in disgrace.

I was wrong in my best guess that bipartisan leaders would come tell him how it had to be. Instead, after he tried to kill a bunch of them -- failing with his usual outstanding cowardice and ineptness, he was rejected and isolated and they didn't even pay him the courtesy of talking to him.
