Loved sharing an interesting bit of messaging advice: | This is from another person in an influencer room: Hello room. This message is from a friend who is working DIRECTLY with our top Democratic leaders in the Senate and Congress on messaging. This is what he shared with them, and he gave me permission to share it with influencers:
Dear Patriots--
I am BEGGING you to trust me on this one: You have to stop talking about Cruz, Hawley, Brooks, Boebert, etc as fellow politicians, and start talking about them as criminals.
Please please please stop demanding their resignations. That is political theater. It just sounds silly. Instead, the messaging is this:
"Like any citizen being investigated in a criminal matter, Senator Cruz is entitled to Due Process. None of us should pass sentence on him until all the facts are in."
"Like any citizen likely to be accused of a crime, Lauren Boebert has the right to remain silent. I suggest that she use it."
"Like any citizen who has committed a crime in plain view, Senator Hawley at this moment should be focused on hiring competent counsel."
"Federal crimes were committed on January 6 by Members of the GOP Caucus. Jim Jordan views those crimes differently than I do. I'm eager for our court system to adjudicate the matter."
That is how we control the narrative. Refer to them only in terms of criminality. NOT POLITICS. Discuss Jan 6 in terms of law and order, crimes committed, legal jeopardy. That's it.
Impeachment is a political act, and a necessary one - but Americans HATE politics. They love crime stories. So tell one.
We have been given a moment of opportunity here. America is (finally) with us. We have to handle it like republicans would: that means message-discipline, ruthlessness, and relentlessness - becoming a unified battering ram.
