Flags are up in my neighborhood.

This morning as I watched President Biden's swearing-in and inaugural address, which began just before 11:00 CST, I started in on the bottle of bubbly I'd saved for the occasion. My intent was to finish the bottle, but because I don't drink very often I was fairly hammered by noon - and so I quit with the bottle only half-consumed. By a little after 3:00 I'd sobered up enough to go for my daily walk in the neighborhood (the process whereby I collected a nice bunch of lawn signs in September and October, which you might remember), so I put on my ice cleats and headed out. To my great delight I saw quite a number of flags, some on houses that still have their Biden/Harris signs out.

Damn, this feels good...
