Not even close. Tom Hanks didn't even have a coat on. If it were -45, he would have died less than a half hour into the show. We didn't hear about people losing ears to frostbite, which happens in that kind of weather. Not a person there was dressed for real cold. It might have seemed cold to people unused to cold weather, but that doesn't qualify in Minnesota where we know cold.

Didn't quite get that cold.

With temperatures near 40 degrees at noon, wind chills will hover below freezing. A few snow flurries are possible.

President Biden sees windiest inauguration since Reagan in 1985
The noon temperature was 42 degrees as winds gusted to 28 mph. Snow flurries were seen before the swearing-in ceremony.
