I never thought about what daily life would be like after Trump got flicked off Twitter, but it's quiet.

It's like sitting in a Laundromat talking to someone for an hour or so while some guy has four pairs of sneakers and his rock collection in a dryer while he practices the kazoo. The racket continues and you get used to it. You gradually raise your voice and strain to hear without realizing it. You become edgy until... it stops. Just like that, it's over.

Like you went deaf. You're stunned. You wiggle your finger in your ear as a calm settles over the store. You can hear your friend speak in normal tones and everything is clear and lucid. You glance to the door and see a man come in with a bag full of Beanie Babies. Nice, quiet, Beanie Babies.

It's like that.
