Joy Reid: Inaugural celebration was everything the GOP hates, and envies, about the left

https://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/watch/joy-reid-inauguration-program-was-the-answer-to-what-we-saw-on-january-6th-99767877960

Joy nails it spot on in this one sentence: Democrats have CULTURE. The right want the culture more than the politics, but they don't have it.

Also love the fact she was BEAMING throughout the entire coverage yesterday i thought the woman was going to turn into a high wattage lightbulb

Really enjoyed MSNBC's coverage of the entire thing. Kudos to Rachel, Nicole & Joy - love watching all their shows

It's also why Trump could only get C-list celebrities and worse to associate with him.

The whole day was glorious and a celebration of the country. I kept thinking about how much Cons would hate it though. A celebration of diversity and multiculturalism to reflect America is what they are against. The celebrity elites all showing out certainly irked them to no end.

Their fans may think they do, but once you start traveling as a successful band, your world view will get changed pretty quickly. Being in a band that is getting started means engaging with venue owners and fans and promoting yourself. Not going to get very far by being a bigot. And then once you're a touring band you're seeing the whole country and then the whole world, you're getting exposed to great culture everywhere. Engaging with a diverse world in this way is going to snap you out of things pretty quickly.

Most of these country stars are probably pretty liberal, many just keep it to themselves, some probably pretend to be MAGATS.

Democrats understand the human condition and the FULL range of emotions (not just fear and disgust). We infuse this undertsanding into our values and party platform. Artists associate with that.

Republicans are the Borg. Devoid of ANYTHING!!

virtually all ways, all that is right in America is really their culture. Democrats want free stuff and a socialist nanny state to take care of everyone and are intolerably smug and hypocritical in imagining that makes them superior. And here's everyone acting joyful as the nation circles the drain, big-name stars, fireworks and all. Helpless to stop it.

Btw, this is from the Public Religion Research Institute's annual survey, published last fall before the election. Yes, 81% of Pubs and half of indies believe the Democratic party has been taken over by socialists. Beyond stupid, but the fright is real.

PRRI also asked respondents whether they believed that, “It always makes the country better when all Americans speak up and protest unfair treatment by government.” Then, it asked the same question, but substituted “Black Americans” for “all Americans.”

Democrats made no distinction between the two questions: 71 percent answered Yes to both. Among Republicans, however, 49 percent believed it made the country better when all Americans spoke up and protested unfair governmental treatment, but just 24 percent believed it when Black Americans spoke up and protested. Among Republicans whose most trusted news source is Fox News, the gap was 47 percent Yes for all Americans, and a bare 10 percent for Blacks.

Indeed, 57 percent of Republicans believed that whites face “a lot of discrimination,” while just 52 percent believe that Blacks do. Among Democrats, 13 percent said whites encounter a lot of discrimination; 92 percent said Blacks do.

Thats when they were on the football team or a cheerleader, could treat others like they owned the place, and its been all downhill since then. Boy are they angry life can't be like 10th grade was. Those dang nerds and immigrants they used to tease in school now run the world....with all that fancy education and stuff.
