Yesterday I watched all the ceremonial inaugural walking and waving on TV, which I never do.......

..... today on the morning news shows, discussions of policy and the administration's plans for dealing with a myriad of issues.

We just needed to feel something normal, something not nasty, something patriotic that reminded us that we can survive this awful time. I could not believe my husband stayed home. We toasted the swearing in once, President Biden and Vice President Harris took the oath. I cried seeing Kamala as VP, I never thought I would live to see a woman up there.

It is so weird to see normal and think it is abnormal isn't it? I did lose my cool when I saw Ted Cruz take his seat, damn him, he had no business being there.
