5. The Washington Post reports that Flynn's brother had nothing to do with the decision - that he came

into the room where the phone conference was going on after it started and left before it finished. The Army did falsely deny the Lt. Gen Charles A. Flynn, Michael Flynn's brother, was involved in the meeting. "I entered the room after the call began and departed prior to the call ending as I believed a decision was imminent from the Secretary and I need to be in my office to assist in executing the decision," Flynn said.

"There is no indication the Charles Flynn shares his brother's extreme views or discharged his duties at the Pentagon on Jan 6 in any manner that was influenced by his brother."

7. OK, I read your article, and it not only quotes the Washington Post, as far as I can see it adds no

evidence that Charles Flynn was involved in the decision not to send in reinforcements. Did I miss something?

9. I agree, we don't know for sure. I'd suggest we hold off on angry comments until we know more.

Three factors I think we should take into consideration: 1) Flynn was not in the chain of command to make a decision about commitment of National Guard troops, 2) Everything was confused and fast-breaking that day. A lot like the Benghazi situation and 3) The military had been used by the Trump administration's video op during the BLM demonstrations in DC and was wary of the optics of troops getting involved in a political situation unless absolutely necessary.
