Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI do not trust republicans.
Not one of them.
Not Mitt. Not Lisa. Not Susan. Certainly not Mitch.
They will not do what is right no matter the evidence.
They will not vote to convict hair furor.
The only way to beat them is at the ballot box. We have to work hard against suppression.
That is the only way to ensure the long-term safety of the republic.
Do not count on them for any help whatsoever. Unity is a fine goal with honorable parties.
They are not honorable. Not one of them.
Trust that shit party with its shit representatives at your own peril.
Full stop.

(24,025 posts)we must always vote and we must help all others to vote... it is our responsibility and civic duty as citizens of the United States
my hope is that more and more people will understand the need to teach civics at home and in schools

(7,215 posts)Damn right I speak about politics! It would be a wonderful thing if everyone did. We would debate policy not talking points, facts not opinions, and change the future of the Legislative Branch.

(63,221 posts)I got into a little "tiff" with a friend over this the other day. As you said, unity is a fine goal with honorable parties. We are not and never will be dealing with honorable parties with this crowd. And they are only getting worse.

(6,878 posts)They know better after the traitorous terror attack to come at me with anything but an olive branch.
But they wont.
They believe it was the right thing. It just failed this time.

(738 posts)... they cannot redeem themselves. Even if some become Democrats, I will always believe they are wolves in sheep's clothing.

every once in a while (very, very infrequently), one of them does the right thing.
Now, if we could just convince them to jump away from the BAT-SHIT CRAZY side, I'd be as happy as a pig driving a Rolls Royce!
Despite all that, I present to you my second and last class on Detecting Bullshit 101:
Everything a republican says is bullshit.
Class dismissed.
