And I am seeing Democrats in the Senate, which we just won a majority as Georgia was seated yesterday, being bashed. They are not working fast enough and some seem to be concerned. Something smells, so it has been said. Schumer can't walk and chew gum at the same time, so it has been said. Democrats are caving.
SMDH. We never learn.
Here we go again a redux of 2008.
Please stop. Please listen and take a very deep breathe.
In two and a half days we have had 3, Three, THREE press briefings from a press secretary that is in a word, brilliant. She is articulate and open and honest. She misspoke the other day and came out later to correct that.
All I am saying is give Democrats a chance.
We are the ones we have been waiting for and we are the change we seek. If you question that just look what we did in the general election. Then look again and look hard. LOOK AT GEORGIA. Look what they did! They flipped our Senate, razor thin yet they flipped it.
Let us work together.

(28,836 posts)For the most part, I just ignore them. Justice Democrats, for example, were complaining about as soon as Biden's win was official, if not before.
Some seem to think that 50/50 means a mandate and we can just rush through anything we want. That's not how the real world operates. The focus was clearly on reversing whatever could be reversed immediately via executive order, then work on legislating change.
My advice would be to ignore the worst of it. It's not worth the time or energy. Some people just like attention, positive or otherwise.

*"downhill with a wind at there backs" means siding with the US Constitution and the Law and prosecute those breaching those.

(22,951 posts)Again. I simply expected better.
You have earned my respect, despite often being in difference of opinion. this particular interaction isn't improving on that. I know you are better.

(18,486 posts)Much easier than badgering the poster for links they told you several posts back they're not going to provide but gave you the information you needed to find yourself.
One might get the impression that getting back up for an assertion isn't your purpose.

(11,314 posts)more than Trump did in 4 years. With Trump, it was always a baby step forward and then 100 giant leaps backwards. Biden has a mountain of work ahead of him (not to mention the inevitable Republican obstruction at every turn) but he has established one Hell of a team of hard working, competent people who will bring their A game to the job every day. It won't be perfect and won't always be pretty, but I have confidence it will be progress. JMHO...
