Do you really believe that 74 Million people voted for Trump?

Trump contended that the election was rigged. Maybe he was right. How in the world did he get 74 million votes? There must have been a lot of dead people voting, and tons of rednecks voting twice.

Same with the Dems, the ones who sat it out last time turned out this time.

And in both cases, there were people who turned voting age, so more voters.

After about 43% of voters didn’t vote in 2016, I believed that if 25% of those people did vote, Hillary would have crushed Trump because almost all would have been for her. Fast forward to the 2020 election, good percentage of those people did vote, Biden got most of them, but not remotely in the numbers that I expected to see. The election was much closer than it should have been.

Please understand that our voting system is remarkably secure and staffed by diligent non-partisan people who care about election integrity. Every time we run this kind of line we give ammunition to the right wing nuts who want us to give up on believing in democracy, and we should cut the damn crap.

The stupid "black box voting" shit laid the groundwork for the Capitol siege, believe that.

Sometimes, you just lose an election. Sometimes you win. Yes, 74 million people voted for Trump. Have you stepped outside of a major urban area in the last five years? Jesus.

for a progressive Black man. They won’t admit that to pollsters, so numbers get skewed. Plus, let’s get to brass tacks, Jaime Harrison was no Stacey Abrams when it came to maximizing the democratic base vote and pulling in centrist voters in big numbers. I am glad to see that Stacey Abrams is taking her organization to Texas, that state really disappointed in 2020 and that needs to change.

President Biden got about 15 million more votes than Hillary got in 2016.

We need to stop implying that screwball things happened on Election Day and focus on real issues, like voter suppression laws in many states, turning out our base voters and giving them reasons to become sustained voters after our candidates are elected.

Others just wanted to get revenge against Democrats for varying reasons such as Bernie being snubbed in the primaries, ineffective and harmful policies, blame for the rise in white supremacists. It doesn't help that RW news, hate radio and the dirtbag leftists on social media keep fueling the hate against Dems 24/7.

For this election, polls were showing Biden winning by a minimum of six or seven points and up to double digits in some polls. I think the national polling averages showed him winning by about eight points. He actually won by 4.4 points. Democrats also didn't do as well nationally in congressional and Senate races as the polls were suggesting. It really does seem that when polls are off, it's always in the red direction, or at least the elections trend in the red direction relative to the polling averages. Is that suspicious? I think so. Did Mad King Donald actually get 74 million Americans to vote for him? Maybe not, but I have no doubt he got upwards of 70 million. There are that many crazy, misinformed, stupid people in this country. They're all around me, I see them all the time.

I do think they thought the fix was in with voter suppression & only needing to work the margins of the EC.
They got beat anyway because turnout was very big, especially given COVID.
Another thing they didn't anticipate was states promoting (or enacting) vote by mail.
They thought COVID was going to suppress turnout, but it didn't.
So, the tantrums were legitimate. They were truly shocked they lost because they were sure they had their thumb on the scale. Then the election weighed 2 tons, and their thumb was irrelevant.
But, the votes are the votes.
So, yeah he got 74 million in a high turnout year.
But, that was 7 million too few. And, the big turnout ruined the EC tactics.

I remember stories about Republicans doing pretty well in voter registration leading up to the election. A quick search found this https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/republicans-bright-spot-voter-registration-push-73708311

Its not that big of a stretch to believe many of these newly registered voters did indeed end up voting for Trump. On election night we also saw rural counties going for Trump by wider margins than 2016, so that makes up for the ground lost in urban areas.

I was surprised by how well Trump did, but it's not unbelievable to me. Biden made bigger gains compared to Clinton's performance in 2016. So both sides did better, but the Democrat did...uh more better
