many times democratic leaders are criticized for lacking spine when in truth , its for lacking votes.

It disgusts me to hear things like that. What exactly is meant by: "at last" ??? GMAFB, would ya? There can be no mistaking that by saying "at last" the implication is clear. It serves only one purpose: to promote some misguided belief or to make a false accusation that "previously the Democrats had been behaving like cowards". Ridiculous!

23. This was not a drama

Dems have control of the Senate, period. McConnell was in no position to make demands. This was a manufactured drama, like a lot of things are today. Schumer didn’t have to give an inch and he didn’t.

Manchin saying no to killing the filibuster publicly has nothing to do with McConnell and Schumer. It gave Mitch an excuse to pretend he was negotiating though.

We don’t have the votes to kill the filibuster. That’s fine fir now. No matter how adamant Manchin seems, if Republicans are completely unreasonable he can change his mind.
