(92,061 posts)In addition, someone posted the following for what its worth:
However, that governor has previously said he would uphold the Vermont tradition of appointing a member of the same party as the one they replace. So in this case, a democrat. Of course thats assuming he does not succumb to pressure from the gop to do otherwise... Hopefully Leahy will recover and we will not need to test this.

(24,717 posts)while Obama was trying to get ACA passed. He was replaced by Republican Scott Brown because RAHM EMMANUEL TOOK HIS EYE OFF THE BALL.
Even when this happens to Republicans (Scalia) feels like it's Lucy and the ball.

(14,618 posts)a senate seat AND a governors office. WTF!
It was her, and all her. Sorry - she is just a shitty candidate the far left pushed on us. TWICE.
Even obama said so in his book.
mass rules are arcane, but because of the term length left, they called for a special election. Nobody counted on a lifeless tone deaf candidate.

(16,294 posts)Those of us here in flyover country take a lot of guff for our GOP politicians. Thats usually because were outnumbered 2-1. Whats Vermont Dems excuse?
