Breaking: Curt Schilling is a dick

After not being elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame, he writes this letter.

"I will not participate in the final year of voting. I am requesting to be removed from the ballot. I’ll defer to the veterans committee and men whose opinions actually matter and who are in a position to actually judge a player. I don’t think I’m a hall of famer as I’ve often stated but if former players think I am then I’ll accept that with honor."

Booooooooo Hooooooooooooooo you fucking prick. If you don't think you are a HOFer, why should you care?

the "bloody sock game" is one of my best memories.... watching him descend into madness in his retirement has been really sad to watch. there was a time i would have picked up his tab if i saw him eating in a restaurant. now i find him despicable and i wouldn't offer him a dime if he needed to call a cab.

The fake bloody sock? And Jeebus it's not like he went through any hardship. Any injured player that stays in a game would ge pumped with whatever drugs they need to finish. It was a game not some heroic act.

And on edit, why in the world would you pick up the tab for any multimillionaire?

I believe it was a very slow healing surface wound which is negative side effect of steroids.
Now, add that he gained 3mph of his fastball & 4" of break on his slider after he turned 32.
Very suspicious, indeed.
He's a world class d'head, a whiny jerk & a cheater.

Hes just not.

When you compare him to guys like Maddux, Randy Johnson, or Pedro....those guys were clearly more dominant. Glavine wasn't, but he as a 10+ game winner every season after his debut year. Smith doesn't have the numbers, until you realize he has 150 saves on top of his years as a starter. Most guys can't make that switch.

There is one guy in thatm compares to Schilling and he shouldn't be in either. Mike Mussina.
