Feds Preview More Serious Charges, Including Sedition, For Capitol Attack

Feds Preview More Serious Charges, Including Sedition, For Capitol Attack
By Matt Shuham January 26, 2021 5:01 p.m.

Washington, D.C.’s top federal prosecutor on Tuesday previewed more, and more complicated, charges for individuals involved in the Capitol attack earlier this month as the pool of evidence from the event continues to grow.
As investigators picked apart tips, video, social media information and other leads for hundreds of distinct case files, D.C.’s Acting U.S. Attorney Michael Sherwin said he expected that his office would bring more conspiracy, sedition and assault on law enforcement charges against Capitol attackers.

[...]

“There’s no manpower issue here, we have no issues with the court,” Sherwin said at one point, seemingly refuting a report that authorities were considering not charging certain individuals involved in the siege.

“These numbers are on a steep incline.”

[...]

“We are closely looking at evidence related to the sedition charges,” Sherwin said, noting the charge could result in decades of prison time for those found guilty. “We are working on those cases, and I think the results will bear fruit very soon.”

Every person who entered the Capitol should be charged with both officer's deaths!

Just as a starting point.

Build on that!

50% were caught up in a Trump rally and had no fucking clue that they were breaking the law, much less sedition. They are the Rubes.

35% just fucking hate everyone outside their daily rural cocoon.. Liberals, Blacks, Muslims, Scientists. They are the Anti-socialists.

It's the remaining 15% that I am focused on and I saw them in action at the US Capital on 1.6/21. They are the Insurrectionists for hire.

However, I prefer them ALL to be charged with felonies.

They did, after all, make a premeditated choice to be there & participate, thereby enabling the smaller percentage who were on truly devious missions.

Prosecuting for felonies would result in:

Maybe a wake up call

Loss of right to legally own guns

LOSS OF VOTING RIGHTS

Getting them.off the streets where they are a clear & present danger.

On edit: presuming convictions. In the meantime, they would all be far too busy to carry out MORE of putin's wishes.

Including death penalty, if law allows, imo.

Normally, I am opposed, but for these terrorists, I feel differently.

I stand by my assumptions on the mob make-up. We gain more with forgiveness withe rubes, kick the anti-socialists and make sure we track them into the future. The Real Commando's of the Seditionmust be prosecuted to the extreme.
