Nothing will ever be fixed so long as he is involved in politics in any way. He is toxic for our country and for our citizens.

If the US Senate cannot find the courage or the backbone to do what needs to be done, then the Justice Department should find a way.

He needs to be locked up.

And if people get angry and want to storm our Capitol because their cult leader has been put away, then lock them up also.

That will solve a lot of our problems.

Trump is a symptom, not the disease. The disease is the Republican Party and locking Trump up would do nothing to address that.

If he is given genuine consequences (prison sentence, perhaps) for what he did, it might give some of his cultists a pause. If it is all properly and legally done (I know, I know, Deep State) then it may slow some of them down. It's a step anyway.

But I don't think we can begin to address all of our problems, as you say, until we deal with this particular elephant in the room.

5. I think locking him up would be a huge catalyst that could speed up the solutions

to a lot of our problems. Seeing that bum go to prison would not only bring a sobering dose of reality to some of the worst far right extremists out there, but it would be a huge wake up call to the entire GOP that lying and crime do not pay.

in this mess tells the MAGAts and criminals to just go for it, while creating massive anger from people who have played by the rules but have nowhere to turn for justice. Blacks are thrown in jail or killed outright instantly for nothing, but these bastards fuck everything up in a multitude of ways and suffer no penalties.
