New York Times Editorial Board: Biden is issuing too many executive orders

In the spirit of the paper's recent “Oh god Biden has a Peloton” and “Hah, elitist Biden has a Rolex!” articles, here comes their latest smug, self-satisfied piece of Biden-related frippery, this time on how it’s much better to legislate through Congress, as though the GOP will allow anything that isn’t to the right of Trump to pass.

And see how much the times like that.

FACT, they will criticize biden for doing too much, for doing too little, for doing/not doing the correct things, for wearing mom pants.....

It's what they do. It not only that it doesn't have to make sense, it has to NOT make sense for it to work.

These are two separate things, and the powers to enact or implement each are given to different parties. Biden isn’t overstepping. He’s exercising his power.

Employees) the authority to interpret or work out details. Biden can’t, for example, issue an executive order to cut tax rates, and the IRS can’t decide on its own to do so. But Congress can, and then give IRS the authority to issue regulations about definitions, etc., and allocate funds for enforcement, for example, (which the Pres would sign).

As someone who worked in the fed govt I found it was very common for the public to be confused about who has the authority to do what.
