Because they did, The Daily Stormer put out a hit piece claiming that NB was the official shoe of White Supremacists.

New Balance took a major sales hit because lazy journalists just ran the story and people stopped buying them.

New Balance is the ONLY shoe company insourcing manufacturing back to the United States.
