9. There were a lot of squirrels on the White House lawn when I was a kid.

They would come to the fence and beg for treats. My aunt lived in D. C., and for my brother and me it was a highlight of our visits. I haven't been there for years, but I would have imagined the squirrels are still there for the presidential dogs to chase.No?

We got no snow this year, which isn't unusual to us....but it is to non Canadians, and even some Canadians. 150 miles north of Chicago, and we already have blossoms, and early flowers are coming up.

No nice pictures of pets in snow, though.
