I think Pence deserves some credit for refusing to try to overturn

The election.

Now I’m no fan of Pence. If he had done as Trump wanted, I imagine it wouldn’t stand up in court anyway. But it would’ve been making a bigger dumpster fire than everything already was. I wonder what Hawley or Gaetz would have done.

He could have been assassinated by the lawbreakers storming the Capitol.

Anyone who would work for or with Trump should know that sooner or later, Trump will throw them under the bus.
It’s kind of like going on a date with Ted Bundy. You know it’s not going to end well.

Although for four years, he co-signed Trump’s bullshit, I’m glad he stood up there at the end.

I thought a while about posting this, but here goes.

The guy was on the hit list. I don't recall him protesting that. What did he say? He just refused to 25A Trump, that's all. What did I miss?

I'm telling ya, I just don't understand how anyone couldn't see the coup attempt for what it was. The GOP are sleazeballs for still supporting Trump. And, Pence is weak, and calculating.

If Pence went along with Trump and forced the return of the electoral ballots to the states at that time (Jan 6) Trump still had time in his presidency to do real damage, as if that action wasn’t enough.
Due to the uproar he would have declared martial law and retained his place of power.

If you don’t believe there would be protests, confusion, yelling and screaming and lies, lies, lies about what was happening and Trump would not take advantage of that scenario you’ve been asleep for years.

Pence did not allow a coup to take place.

Absolutely no fan of Pence either.
