Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsAt the Jen Psaki press conference a reporter asked how come Biden is meeting with republicans
first, but no Democrats, and that Democrats are complaining about that. Jen Psaki asked the reporter which Democrats are upset about this, and the reporter hemmed and hawed and said no one specifically, but he hears it in the hallway. I call BS on that reporter. Jen Psaki also made it clear that Joe Biden is in close contact with the Democratic leaders, and will be meeting with them also

(19,066 posts)No reporter with any professionalism at all would use "many people are saying" just a couple decades ago. It's not valid reporting and doesn't mean standards. You could cite an opinion poll, or state "Senator Jones says this", or even at worst, "several democrats have said to me."
Glad to see the administration trying to root that garbage out.
And "many people are saying" became a Trumpism, I reject Trumpism lingo and so should you, it's part of their effort to create a false reality. I try not to say "Fake News" ever as well. I only say "many people are saying" as a way to make fun of Trump for saying it all the time.

(986 posts)That should be the first response when they say "Some people say"
And if they don't respond, say "you just made that up"

And I'm not saying anyone is unhappy, but some journalists are actually journalists.

(90,686 posts)This reporter claims to have overheard gossip in the hallways. That would not have passed the smell test of any good editor in a newspaper.
Jen Psaki is quick and sharp. She doesnt do insults, but she also doesnt accept any bs.
