Dustin Diamond, 'Saved by the Bell' star, dead at 44
Dustin Diamond, who played the role of Screech on the popular 1990s high school comedy "Saved by the Bell," died Monday after a recent cancer diagnosis, according to Diamond's manager, Roger Paul.

I saw another reference that he had Stage 4 lung cancer.
Per CNN, he fell on very hard financial times and might have avoided medical care for a while.

and watched it for many hours in my early teens. Saw him at a comedy club probably 15 years ago and was interesting and fun to see him in person.
