Donald Trump must never receive another intelligence briefing.
He has repeatedly proven he cannot be trusted. He incited an insurrection, and has done more than enough damage to our country.
We know Trump will abuse any intel for his own gain. He must not be given the chance.

The current White House is reviewing whether or not to revoke President Trumps access to the intelligence briefings that are typically granted to former presidents, according to @PressSec.

(16,131 posts)I'm going to guess that it means that he is currently NOT receiving the briefings. Plus, the IC would need to go back to presenting the information in comic book form. For President Biden, they have resumed written reports.
And he would definitely monetize that information. He has some hefty debts coming due soon.

(20,200 posts)and after all, that's where they'd end up. Putin certainly wouldnt want DJT to explain it to him. I'm sure Putin knows far more about our government than DJT anyway.

(7,142 posts)HOWEVER, I fear Kushner is smart enough to use intelligence briefings to further his treason against the United States for his own profit.
The FBI and the CIA need to assign a team to follow this prick every where he goes. Then when he sells his country out (WHICH HE WILL) ARREST his fucking pansy ass and try him for TREASON.

Putin is putting the pee pee tape on YouTube.
They can send him one a week. It should guarantee high blood pressure, at the very least.

(10,629 posts)just send pictures from coloring books and when someone asks, just point out that this is about as intelligent a briefing as he can handle.

(82,849 posts)Does that mean there's no law or regulation requiring that Trump be looped in on intelligence reports? We know how Trump treated any number of traditional or customary practices during his administration. And even if there is some kind of written rule, what's the punishment for violating it? We know how Trump treated any number of written rules and even Constitutional principles during his administration, and he never had to pay a fine or otherwise answer for breaking the rules.
Send him a length of rope and advise him to piss up it.

(302 posts)The tRump administration refused to give Intel briefs to a number of individuals after they left office despite a longstanding history of this being an accepted practice. He said he wouldn't because it was not required.
Well, there you go.

(1,402 posts)I agree with Adam Schiff and Paul Krugman.............why treat DJT like a normal president when he never was. He betrayed our country and should be imprisoned because of it. Why would you give him any of the intelligence briefings when he is a danger to our country. Come on............get real!!!

(53,544 posts)1) He would have to show up in person.
2) He would only be allowed to read it without touching it.
3) Only coffee and one croissant for refreshments.
4) Not allowed to bring any family member or friend.
5) Not allowed to bring in his cell phone or recording device.
6) Use fake or unknown words in the briefing.
7) Include briefing about an orange creature in Florida terrorizing the country.
8) Include briefing that Putin has operatives in Palm Beach.

(12,181 posts)From what I can discern easily (in other words, with very, very little work on my part), giving ex-presidents is a courtesy and not a requirement. Ask me how much courtesy I think that POS deserves.

(8,544 posts)to a man who was serving a Russian spy master before he ever ran for office and NO ONE saw that coming?
If the FBI, the CIA, DIA, the NSA and the rest of the alphabet Intelligence outfits didn't see it or even ask the damn question when he was vetted PRIOR TO the election, what then is he? Can we hang a loyal Russian stooge or only an American who talks to one?

If a sitting POTUS wants advice of a former president, they can get them needed information on a case by case basis.
Just routinely briefing a person no longer actively involved in the government doesn't feel like a "must do".
