I really only know him from TV appearances, but I am impressed with his character and forthrightness.

3. I know HRC told him he should run.

I take it he is well liked there since he’s an incumbent of the OH state house as well as US congressman.

Not sure what happened in OH..it didn’t used to be so red..anyone care to weigh in?

Lived here my entire life, and I have various ideas which may or may not be true.

The worsening monopoly of right-wing hate radio over the years didn't help.

Lots of immigrants from West Virginia that I've met around here, and they were always strong right-wing a-holes.

Worse public education too. I have been repeatedly shocked by the horrible basic science educations of coworkers, far worse than what I observed years ago.
