Rachel Maddow A Block was excellent!

If you missed it, you should find the recording when it pops up and watch it.

She starts out with the history of what went down in 2009-10 and how the Repubs negotiated in bad faith and basically weakened both the recovery act and the ACA bills and then boycotting the actual bills when the vote came up. She finished with some commentary and a Q&A from a Biden assistant about how the little conclave with the 10 Repubs went down today. Basically, Biden gave them the nice idea but we're not gonna weaken the bill for you.

Good segment.

in 2009-10, by the time they got Recovery Act and the ACA passed, Repubs had played out the clock and we got literally nothing else done.

I was so frustrated at the time - wanting him to hold out for it!

I think they don't expect us to have such long memories!

Republican tactics over the years are finally being studied. We know not to trust them: They have created a meaner, smarter, opponent.

I think that is why we are getting down to endless lies and using state Assemblies to hold onto power. They lost grip and they know it, a Seditious Rebellion is another clue.

They weakened the Obama bills and then never voted on them any way.
Lesson learned.

The Repubs exploited Obama's genuine desire for bipartisanship. They delayed, obstructed, pretended - just so the final bill would fail or be so watered down that voters would view Obama as ineffective.

We need to dunk on these fuckers and show them who's boss. As McTurtle himself said 'Elections have consequences.'
