GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger launches new political effort to challenge Republicans who support Trump

GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger has launched a new political effort to push back against Republicans who embrace former President Donald Trump.

"The Republican Party has lost its way. If we are to lead again, we need to muster the courage to remember who we are," Kinzinger said in a video posted to the new Country First website.

The political effort is intended to put money behind candidates who oppose Trump's influence over the party.

"We need to remember what we believe and why we believe it," Kinzinger said. "Looking in the mirror can be hard, but the time has come to choose what kind of party we will be, and what kind of future we'll fight to bring about."

1. I Don't Believe The Family Petition Thing

That sounds like disinformation to make him out to be more courageous.

His family is not a bunch of lunatics.
They were friends with Weller who was the last R who held that seat. He wasn't a nutjob either.
Besides, the family isn't uber rich, so what does "disown him" even mean?

Remember, they tried to primary him last year running a T---- bumper. He won the primary by 28 points.
They tried to primary him in 2014 with a $1.4 million dollar spend because he separated himself from the Freedumb Caucus. He won that primary by nearly 40.

I approve of him trying to purge the party of the lunatics & sycophants, but there's some hyperbole regarding the "risks" he's taking.
