You Know That Feeling of Relief You Get When You Wake Up From A Nightmare...

...and suddenly realize it wasn't real?

That's the feeling I get these days when I have NEWS playing on the TV in the background, and the newscaster says

"..let me stop you there, so we can go to the President, who is making remarks..."

I instinctively cringe, and think "ugh...NOW what?"

And I look, expecting to see an overgrown schoolyard bully in a baggy blue suit, shouting raspy insults at reporters over the screaming of helicopter rotors.

And then Biden appears, behind the Resolute desk, delivering calm, coherent remarks, in complete sentences.

I get that feeling...

I get a momentary dread when there is breaking news from the WH.

But every time I hear it, a big smile shows up on my face.

And discovered there are things going on in my world that don't include being glued to the news with a sense of terminal dread.

I even laughed at a silly thing the cat did yesterday.

It's getting a little better every day.

Pretty much sums up my inner monologue for the past four years. After January 6, I could not relax. I checked different news sources constantly expecting another awful development.

I'm really not exactly all right now. I love having Biden and Harris is charge with Bernie and AOC and others speaking up and leading the way, but I don't truly trust anything right now.

Not sure how I'm going to get past this. Coverage of the First Dogs kind of helps.
