I had the local news on last night and as soon as the anchor started saying “The President...”, my hand frantically reached for the remote to hit mute. Then I glanced up at the screen and saw Joe Biden. Whew! What a relief.

2. Yes, when I hear a news report that starts "the White House" or

"the president," I flinch a little bit and immediately think "Oh, God, what the fuck has he done this time?" until I remember that Biden is the president and whatever he just did would be a good thing. And then I am so happy and relieved.

I'm working my way through the Skepticrat podcast and Last Week Tonight. So I'm alternately in the present or near present, April 2019 with Skepticrat, or June 2015 with LWT.

Now the present is far more enjoyable! But there's still that little "click" mentally.

was “What fresh hell has he gotten us. . . Oh, wait. We’ve got Biden, now.”
