9. The psychology of now

Greene is not the only one who suffers from the "Psychology of Now." This refers to the inability to see the immensity of your actions at the moment they occur then later downplay the historic level once outside observers begin noting the significance.

The people involved in the Capitol Insurrection may, or may not, see the extraordinary generational gravity of their seditious actions. Republicans in general seems to suffer from this. Kids in cages, destroying Unions, trickle down economics and many more examples of this occur, especially bad, mostly coming from the Conservative Right.

From this we build a "Usable Past" which we construct, if not thereafter forgotten, a better union.
