He's BOLD, BRAVE, BRILLIANT... He means business! No hesitation.
We are moving forward through this crisis!
Damn! he's impressing the hell out of me!

(47,419 posts)man in modern politics. He's not just Obama's fun sidekick or everyone's Uncle Joe. This is the moment that he's been preparing for his entire life, a moment that he'd already decided had passed him by. And he's approached it with such humility, wisdom, and dignity, I am gobsmacked. For all the pundits and comics who have ridiculed him all these years, time to sit down and shut up or at least admit you were wrong. Of course, Joe go the final word!

Im happier every day that we supported you and trusted you. MAN! No regrets! None needed.
After four miserable years of trump and trumplicans, its still hard to believe we actually have someone SO dramatically and demonstrably better IN office and ON the job - just like he promised hed be. Im still getting used to the whole idea!

I cannot believe how good it feels to know that the wonderful man in the White House is taking care of everyone, as though every single one of us were part of his family.
To President Biden

about 2 miles from my home last Wednesday.
On a local (basically three rural counties) news blog there is a daily covid thread and I made the following post several days ago. People dependent on the county are having trouble scheduling shots even when of high priority and the appointments can be very inconvenient.
>>Props to the Indian Health Service out here in the hinterlands. Asked me 6 weeks ago, if I wanted a vaccine when available and I said yes. Then was called and asked again more formally and was scheduled for a vaccine. Then was called moving up the appointment, January 27 10 AM.
I was only one in the parking lot at time of my appointment. One is taken in the door after a temperature check and given a questionnaire about allergies and a disclosure statement to sign with items like the vaccine is not yet FDA approved. Then one is taken to a treatment room for the shot. After the shot one goes back into the waiting room for a 15 minute waiting period to see if any unfavorable reactions. The doctor sat with me and went over a several page Fact Sheet. Also one is given a cv19 card with treatment record and the time and date of the 2nd shot four weeks in the future.
Easy and convenient as huckleberry pie in the old days.
Vaccine is distributed direct to IHS and not through the county or State to my understanding.
BTW I am not Native American.

(16,725 posts)Sorry. Asked a lot of questions there

(8,774 posts)I signed a release that stated that fact before receiving the shot. I do not have a copy of that but I have the 5 page FACT SHEET I went over with the doctor during the 15 minute post shot observation period before exit.
FACT SHEET FOR RECIPIENTS AND CARE GIVERS
>insert 3 more lines of title will not type<
First 3 paragraphs:
You are being offered the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine to prevent Corona Virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by SARS-CoV2. This fact Sheet contains information to help you understand the risks and benefits of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, which you may receive because there currently a pandemic of COVID-19.
The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine is a vaccine and may prevent you from getting COVID-19. There is no US Food and Agriculture (FDA) approved vaccine to prevent COVID-19.
Read the Fact Sheet for information about the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine. Talk to the vaccination provider if you have questions. It is your choice to receive the Moderna COVD-19 Vaccine.

I am glad that the vaccines are available.

(6,820 posts)Not all the hippies gave up and caved to the selfishness of Reaganesque materialism or morphed into anti-social, subsistence hermits. Some adopted the long view and opted to work within the system for incremental change. At this time it is NOT incumbent upon him to compromise with Republicans who remain diminished by their association with support for Trump. If he avoids international land mines and other priority stealing traps he may well go down as the best president the country has ever elected.
