Senate Majority Leader. Total competence and institutional fairness.

Gephardt, not so much. Never impressed me.

And in more recent years he has lobbied for the health care industry and Boeing. In these roles, he has gone against his previous pro-labor positions.

were flops or equate with a modern flop. Many Dems who lived up to the Dem label - intelligent, honorable, accomplished, idealist, ethical - have lost elections or been sidelined by circumstances. I won't waste our time listing all the great Dems who were better in all ways to the Repukes who defeated them. Almost all of us Dems have painful wounds over battles we've lost, including how we all ended up here at DU.

Hardly any Dem is to be equated with McCARTHY or almost any Repuke. As for people who are forgotten, that goes for most people, and some who had *BIG* names in their time. For sure, DRUMPF has been well on his way to being a nobody despite how much jerk ruckus he occupied in the news. No need to drag some Dem to make a point.

My point was to point out that McCarthy thinks he will be speaker in two years because that’s how it usually works, I am pointing out that it didn’t work out for us and Gephardt in 2002...geez

Haven't heard his name in a very long time. I think he may have been a blue-dog.

When Senate Democrats like Ben Nelson actually cost the House Democrats, even though they were doing everything right

Alot can happen between now and 2022...

Although allowing MTG to run wild is not a good idea.....There are seats where the primary determines who will be the Nov. winner.

However, the Proud Boys and Q Anon are not resonating too well with middle class voters at the moment.
