Crusaders, 3%ers, Oathkeepers, gun-humpers, confederate flag lovers, trumpsters, white wingers, etc., are not hard to spot.

They already have? Everyone of those white supremacists will just infect for soldiers and the problems will spread throughout the military.

The Pentagon needs to take a hardline approach to clean house, top to bottom, cut them loose. As painful as it might be to lose a large number of troops, it's better than letting their vile hatred contaminate the military.

4. Revive the Group "W" Bench

"Kid I want you to go over and sit down on that bench
That says 'Group W'
Now kid!"
And I, I walked over to the, to the bench there
And there is, there is Group W's where they
Where they put you
If you may not be moral enough to
To join the army
After committing your special crime, and
There was all kinds of mean nasty, ugly lookin' people
On the bench there
Mother rapers
Father stabbers
Father rapers!
Father rapers
Sittin' right there on the bench next to me!...

"Kid, have you rehabilitated yourself?"
I went over to the sergeant, and said
"Sergeant, you got a lot a damn gall
To ask me if I've rehabilitated myself I mean
I mean
I mean, I'm just, I'm sitting here on the bench
I mean, I'm sitting here on the Group W bench
'Cause you wanna know if I'm moral enough
To join the army, burn women, kids, houses and villages
After being a litterbug
He looked at me, and said, "Kid
We don't like your kind
And we're gonna send you fingerprints off to Washington"
And friends, somewhere in Washington
Enshrined in some little folder
Is a study in black and white of my fingerprints
And the only reason I'm singing you this song now

They advertise their political viewpoints on social media outlets for the world to gawk at with reckless abandon.

That's where I would start. These people can't help themselves from proudly boasting of what they've done or are going to do. They crave attention. In my pre-retirement life, I was in human resources for 35 years. In the latter of those years I used social media extensively to rule out calling people for interviews if I saw postings that were indicative of being "not a good fit" for the organizations I worked for. Many times I thought to myself, "If only these people knew the real reason why they didn't get a call back." I remember warning my young niece who was just starting out in her field not to continue posting pictures of her latest weekend drunken/half naked self on facebook. She didn't take my advice and needless to say it took her many tries to land her first full time job. If I were still working I can tell you straight up that anyone self-identifying as a supporter of Qanon would never be getting a call back.

I remember when this was first shocking to discover that employers were discriminating based on social media postings, but that was many years ago. Now social media is a huge hotspot to scour to weed out the crazies. It's a shame it's come to that, but when you have extremists like this, it has to be done.

Almost all of the arrestees from this Capitol insurrection have demented social media postings.

11. Idea: indoctrination classes.

Since it is a crap shoot whether the average American receives any education in civics or the Constitution he has sworn to defend, mandatory indoctrination classes for enlisted ranks should be instituted. Not exactly sure what to do about the officers. It is certain that there are a number of bad apples among the brass, and they need to be rooted out.
