Dark chocolate can mask the taste of many common poisons.

The guy in the chair represents the person that a substantial part of modern society actually is: internet surfer chicks and dudes.
The most naive of them actually cut their "cult teeth" by believing they have learned something which "most people" haven't. Thus, the low-information person who speaks with authority on complex issues without understanding them, the conspiracy faddist is born. The Trumpist is risen. The woman, who's face remains hidden is a loyal wife who will follow, a long suffering wife who feels compelled to follow or a complicit harridan such as our Ms. Taylor-Greene.

It's not supposed to be funny. But it is, in a sardonic, 21st century Tennessee Williams kinda way. I sincerely hope our conversation is a joke on me.

So many of these conspiracy theorists read a few articles referenced on facebook, then consider themselves non-elite experts. They cannot argue the substance of their alt-facts because they have not bothered to get a real education on the underlying subject matter, as you said.

A debate with them ends when they declare, "Because QAnon says so," and they drop off. They cannot handle a real mental challenge because of cognitive dissonance and personality.

It's scary that psychology and personality are such strong components of how this happens and evolves.

Copies of it should exist in every state. School kids should visit them.

We're creating far too many adults who lack that skill, & our society is paying the price for it.
