More Names Line Up to Guest Host "Jeopardy!"

Anderson Cooper, Dr. Mehmet Oz, CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, and the "Today" show's Savannah Guthrie are the latest names slated to guest host game show "Jeopardy!" Former winner Ken Jennings is current hosting, while Katie Couric, Mayim Bialik, Aaron Rodgers, Bill Whitaker, and Mike Richards are already confirmed to temporarily fill in for the late Alex Trebek as well.

Alex Trebek named who he wanted to replace him as the Jeopardy host three years ago. Seriously, they should take a look at him.

... but to be honest, I don't really like his voice. He doesn't have the "TV voice" that announcers train in school for, and it shows. I'm sure it's something he could work on if he really wanted to. On the other hand, Ken Jennings does have the intelligence and the Jeopardy mojo to his credit, so I'm rooting for him to improve after a while.

to all those who see him as one of them. Also, so far he makes a graceful transition by echoing Alex Trebek so well, but that's also a plus going on.

I liked Alex a lot, but he's like jellied cranberry sauce out of a can for Thanksgiving -- he was genuinely good. but the other huge reason they were both must-haves by so many was that Trebek meant Jeopardy the way the canned stuff means Thanksgiving for millions. Just try giving them fancy recipes with fresh berries and port wine, or whatever. I have and learned the hard way to serve sliced Ocean Spray, either alone or as an alternative.

Continuity of tradition is not a bad thing. Especially in turbulent, scary times.

I think it would be fun if Mayim Bialik was in character as Amy Farrah Fowler.

would be the first host to try and fill Alex's shoes, there were all kinds of people saying either "I hate Ken", or "I like Ken, but don't really think he's the right person for the job".

Fast forward a few weeks after Ken has had the opportunity to host a bunch of episodes. The news comes out about a whole new slew of guest hosts that are planned by the show's producers. FB posters are absolutely hysterical - "THIS IS A TOTALLY HORRIBLE IDEA!!! JUST MAKE KEN THE PERMANENT HOST NOW!!!!!!!

I'm fine with everyone else, but I do like Lavar Burton for the job.
