Just wondering what House members who serve on no committees do with their time?

Fundraising, tweeting, polish their weapons, harass other members in the hallways, play cards with their staff, eat for free at the Capital dining room...looks like a blessing for some of these members (especially averse to working)...so glad Green was bumped but she may actually like it...

I imagine that her staff will be looking for other jobs. Who would want to be a staffer to MTG with no committee assignments? Don't look to good on a staffer's resume.

3. Phone banking. If they're not working on committee or for their constituents, they're cold calling.

I saw some news thing on "Why is Congress Broken" a few years ago, and phone banking/soliciting funding was a major issue with Senators and House Critters who were expected to spend at least an hour calling for money pretty much on a daily basis to keep their committee standings.

they raise money. Since they have to not do it on Federal property, it saves them a lot of travel back and forth.

She was known to have open affairs when she owned the gym.

Class of ‘94 - multiple marriages fell apart. Republicans. They finally got to DC and it was party time. Both the men and the women.

11. Many do not even bother to

attend Sessions of the House instead stay home and only attend if their vote is needed. Happen to know of two Dems years ago that never had Committee assignments and spent their time at home doing legal representations in Washington County Courts.

But it doesn't waste as much committee time, and committee members don't need to worry as much about being shot by an angry wacko during mark-up
