(Or try to.) I'm not questioning the congressman's relationship with the Lord, but I do question the wisdom of attempting a sanctimonious mini-sermon across the aisle. At the least, it's certainly not an attempt at "unity." If a Democrat attempted such a thing, Texas evangelicals would howl their throats raw.
