Democratic leaders and their campaign committees now have an on-the-record vote tying 199 House Republicans to Greene. A press release from Speaker Nancy Pelosis office released shortly after the voteheadlined GOP Rapidly Morphing Into GQP With Strong Support for Greenesaid that in the past 24 hours, House Republicans made it abundantly clear where their allegiances lie: with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, conspiracy theorists and QAnon believers. The release put Republicans in scare-quotes two more times, then abruptly ended that practice in subsequent references.
Greene, meanwhile, announced that she would hold a press conference outside the Capitol Friday morning. Its not like she has anything else to do.

(51,550 posts)1. My Republican House representative, Michelle Steel, voted to keep Greene on committees.
Our purple district will be reminded of that in 2022. I'm sure Steele will have many more horrible votes on her record by then as well.

i don't listen to her, but have read that during her speech she never apologized at all. very trumpian of her.
same with her press conference tomorrow. i won't tune in, but will be interested to see whether she betrays any hint of humility or acknowledges that what happened today is a consequence of her own bad acts. If I had to bet on it i'd say no.
