And with Vice President @KamalaHarris casting the crucial tie-breaking vote, at 5:30am after 14 hours of debate, the Senate has passed a $1.9 trillion budget for COVID relief. Georgia voters made this possible.

Thank you Dems!

(10,378 posts)So proud of yall. Love having a senate that works for us instead of @LeaderMcConnell. People are suffering. Their businesses are suffering. The healthcare system is stretched and towns and cities need money. Schools need money. We all need PPE. These arent partisan issues.

(13,340 posts)It is enormously damaging, and it provides only temporary jobs to build it since its more for Canada than the US. Plus, extracting oil from tar sands in Canada is the most polluting of fossil fuel extraction. This really flies in the face of addressing climate change.
Edited to add: Maybe they can pass so many environmental regulations to make this pipeline unaffordable.

I don't know why this has been such a difficult concept for voters to grasp. Maybe now they'll get it.

(12,595 posts)Senators Ossoff and Warnock are bringing home the bacon. Elections have consequences; $1,400 of consequences to Georgians most in need.
I can't thank enough Stacey, the people on the ground, the local party, and the people of Georgia.

Instead of focusing on their own constituents, they work to find ways to screw blue states. The amendment failed.
