So proud of y’all. Love having a senate that works for us instead of @LeaderMcConnell. People are suffering. Their businesses are suffering. The healthcare system is stretched and towns and cities need money. Schools need money. We all need PPE. These aren’t partisan issues.

It is enormously damaging, and it provides only temporary jobs to build it since it’s more for Canada than the US. Plus, extracting oil from tar sands in Canada is the most polluting of fossil fuel extraction. This really flies in the face of addressing climate change.

Edited to add: Maybe they can pass so many environmental regulations to make this pipeline unaffordable.

Senators Ossoff and Warnock are bringing home the bacon. Elections have consequences; $1,400 of consequences to Georgians most in need.

I can't thank enough Stacey, the people on the ground, the local party, and the people of Georgia.

So some Republican wrote an amendment that said "no money for states that under reported Covid nursing home deaths" which was supposed to hamper NY.

Instead of focusing on their own constituents, they work to find ways to screw blue states. The amendment failed.

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/02/05/senate-passes-budget-resolution-toward-1point9-trillion-covid-relief-bill.html

The Senate passed a budget resolution early Friday after a marathon of votes on dozens of amendments. The House followed in the afternoon in a nearly party line vote, starting the reconciliation process that would allow President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion rescue package to get through the Democratic-held Senate with a simple majority.
