Biden's Schedule for Saturday, February 6, 2021

I had been thinking of no longer posting of these threads, on the grounds of what's so interesting about someone who gets up in the morning, goes to work, breaks for lunch, goes back to work, stops for the day, has some dinner, and goes to bed?

It turns out that people are reading these, so I guess I'll keep posting them for a while.

Biden is in Wilmington this weekend, but he didn't take Amtrak.

Having a president who leaves the White House for the weekend and doesn't go golfing or entertaining at Mar-A-Lago. He just goes home to work from Wilmington for a couple days and spend time with his family and grandchildren.

He still hasn't played golf yet and last night was the first he spent time at one of his "properties" (a private home, not a golf club or resort)!

when no one at MSNBC mentioned it.

Funny, I don't think I ever followed a president's activities so closely before. I'm just basking in the normality and matter-of-fact competence. I think cable news is feeling the same way.

With her dogs, they are going to be part of puppybowl this Sunday. I am sure the puppybowl was pretaped but the news show wasn't so she must have had to travel later.

It is just so nice and unstressful to see a president doing normal, presidential things. It's especially nice to wake up in the morning and not have to wonder exactly what awful things are in in store for our country today. It is such a relief to have Joe Biden as our president.

No sleeping until noon? No golfing? No spending 8 hours in bed hate watching the news? No self congratulatory phone calls to Fox News? No rage tweeting at 3AM on toilet?

What's happening right now?

It's comforting to see what a competent president is doing from day to day. It's also nice to see Joe is getting a couple of days to relax after working so hard these first few weeks.
