For four years, I've been waking up thinking about how terrible things have been with Trump as President. It's a harsh way to awaken from a good night's sleep. That's happening less and less lately.
I woke up this morning to the sound of my wife's cell phone alarm. The sound she chose for it is called "Homecoming" on Android phones. It's a short little tune that wakes you gently. This morning, before rolling over and going back to sleep, I wrote lyrics for that tune in my head. It's good to get back to a more normal thought process first thing in the morning:
"Wake up pretty girl.
Wake up pretty girl.
It's time to get out of bed and
Start another day."
You could substitute "sleepyhead" for "pretty girl" to make it more universal. Here's the tune:

I will suggest your alternation with hopes of improvement!

"Mickey Says: 'GET THE FUCK OUT OF BED!'" After a while, I bought her a new alarm clock.

A couple months ago, our linked smoke detectors all went off at 3:00am and they weren't as bad as that one stupid alarm clock.
