Guns: No federal building allows anyone to carry a weapon

My library has a large gun ban sign on the front door.
So, why would it be okay to carry a gun onto the floor of congress? It wouldn't.
The fines are a good idea.

I know it goes up to 10k for a second offense, but then it should double every time, to a million.

The good news is that the 10k fine continues for each offense. So, if they do it twice is is $15,000! ouch! Then another $10,000 = $25,000 in one year! This will work.

The Traffic Regulations for Capitol Grounds allows Members of Congress to possess a firearm on Capitol Grounds. They specifically state though that firearms or incendiary devices are not allowed on the Floor of the House or its adjacent rooms and lobbies along with the Rayburn Room.

So forearms and incendiary devices are NOT allowed on the House Floor, the Democratic and Republican Cloakrooms the Speakers Lobby and the Rayburn Room.
