GOP must decide between conservatism and madness

BY ALEXANDER BOLTON - 02/04/21 08:36 PM EST

... Sasse (R-Neb.), who's said he may vote .. to convict .. Trump on an article of impeachment, is pushing back against .. the Nebraska Republican State Central Committee by warning that his party must choose between “conservatism and madness.”

Sasse .. Thursday released a .. video responding to .. officials .. who want to censure him .. Feb. 13 ...

“I listen to Nebraskans every day and very few of them are as angry about life as some of the people on this committee. Not all of you, but a lot," Sasse said ...

... he blamed Trump for inciting the Jan. 6 riot ...

“Now, many of you are hacked off that I condemned his lies that led to a riot. Let’s be clear: the anger in the state party has never been about me violating principle or abandoning conservative policy. I’m one of the most conservative voters in the senate. The anger has always simply been about me not bending the knee to one guy” ...

All the Democrats have to do is not look crazy, corrupt, or ignorant. It should be a pretty easy path forward for my party.

The problem I have is they don’t call it crazy. They wrap it in a conservatism to give it a veneer of respectability much like fundies wrap their bullshit in the trappings of science.

They are monsters.

It's absolutely sickening to me that so many throw themselves overboard literally when it comes to trump. Lindsey G., others for example. I never knew that there were so many cowards in the republican party. I never knew that they were so many cowards that were senators (all republicans). Do any of them stand for any kind of principles? Do any of them have any principles? This is also pertains to House members too, that lend so far trump-wards, that their lips are on djt's behind almost.
